A must if you are staying in Galway with three or more people. Right along the Long Walk, Heron’s Rest is a dream. Incredible views. Delicious breakfast food. Wonderful recommendations from the host. We loved the proximity to the Latin Quarter and the Salthill promenade. Every room has a view. Unit 16a has three full baths, perfect for a group. We ran out of coffee beans (you can use an espresso maker or French press for morning coffee) and the host was great about replenishing them. Definitely recommending this B&B to friends & family. If we’re fortunate to return to Galway, we will definitely return to Heron’s Rest. *as other reviews mention, there are a lot of stairs. Totally manageable for folks without mobile challenges. This is a fantastic place to stay in Galway! It was our first trip to the city and our hosts were helpful and provided information about the area. Everything was right outside our door, and yet with the water, swans, and ocean, you still felt peace and quiet. The local breakfast basket was perfect! We can’t wait to come back! Read Less

The Heron's Rest was absolutely lovely. I have stayed now at several places in Galway and this has been my favorite. Spacious, clean (smells amazing!), with a fantastic view, cozy living area as well. My 8 year old son loved it too. A friend suggested it to me and I was SO happy they did! Heron's Rest was a perfect base for our visit to Galway. Everything about our accommodation was lovely. Very good location. Great restaurants, pubs, shops, and local sights all very walkable. We enjoyed walking along the river and the beautiful views. Read Less
